I then converted the text to an editable poly and extruded it to give it depth
I then created a cylinder and converted it to an editable poly and moved the votives around to get a splat shape,
I then used ‘turbosmooth’ and ‘mesh smooth’ to neaten it up and make the edged smooth
I then added the text to the middle of the splat so it is sticking out, and used the ‘proboolean’ tool to extract it as for some reason normal ‘boolean’ wouldn’t work.

I then added a map to the splat to make it look like a real egg, I got the image of an egg from,

I added an ‘uvw map’ to the splat to align the map, here is a shot of the finished splat.
