Split Egg

I had to make an egg to split so I tried splitting the egg in 2 by cloning it and converting one to an editable poly and using the vertex selection to delete the top half and drag some points up and other vertices down, to make it look jagged,



I then cloned this and placed it at the same position as the other egg and used the Boolean tool to create a top half with the correct shape jagged points, but this did not work. The egg was still one whole egg, so to fix this I created a box and tried the same approach as last time to Boolean the top and the bottom, again this did not work.




I then resorted back to the straight forward way, which was to clone the egg so I had 2 eggs and create a half egg template with the crack and delete the top half vertices from one egg and the bottom vertices from the other egg sticking with the shape of the guide egg, this worked well.




I then added a map to the egg shell to make it look realistic, I got the map from
